Writing Test.

Waking up in fear knowing that today is the  yr7&8 mix tournament,  I was very nervous that I wanted the tournament to be over and done with. Getting ready and dressed up for school made more pressure on me , I felt like I had butterflies all around my body .

As I got to school I heard the 8:30 bell rang,  I quickly ran to the hall ready to go. Lining up in our team line ready to go, I could hear the yr 5&6s talking about how excited they were  to play against the other teams. Hearing the yr 5&6s talking about how excited they are just to get on the field and play made my butterflies slowly go away.

When we got to Dunkirk all the other schools were setting up there tents ready to go for this big day. As soon as we got to the fields everyone had to gather there things into one pile so that we could put the tent up. While everyone was helping out with the tents, Katalina and I had to go and help out with the sausages because our school had to fundraise some money.

After Katalina and I finish helping out with the sausages, all the teams gathered around the tents so our coaches can tell us when and who are we playing against. When we finish our little meeting all the teams had to go with there coaches and warm up ready for the first game.  Walking with my team and our coach Tyson to our field to warm up, I was scared and nervous that I might drop the ball.

As the hooter went Tyson told us who's the starting seven. Walking onto the field was very scarey because people were watching. Our first game was against Tamaki Primary they were very hard, but at the end we scored a lot of tries against them. Playing my first games of touch against boys and girls was a bit challenging because the boys were very fast to touch . Winning our first game was a very exciting news for me and my team.

Winning all our games against the schools was very exciting. The last game was the finals where we had to play against Glen Taylor. Playing against Glen Taylor was the hardest game in the tournament because they had some very good players and very good steppers. Scoring the first try against Glen taylor in the finals was very happy moment for me.

My highlight for the was coming 1st against  Glen Taylor, and also playing against other schools and meeting new people.

Success Criteria: I can identify the key occurrences in the text.

Referring to the image on the first page what does the expression on the boys face tell us? I think the first page is all about plastic bags I think its about and plastic bag blowing up top on the air and I think they are trying to get it so they can put something inside it.

What do you think might happen to him in the story? The thing might happened to him is that he is going to follow the plastic bag wherever it goes because I think the plastic bag is special for him.

What do you think the title has to do with the story? The title does got to do something with the story because in the story it looks really windy I think the wind blew the plastic bag away.

Why does Miss Anderson think Trent has been mucking about? Miss Anderson think that trent was mucking around because every time she looks at trent he is always laughing because his friend jason was telling funny jokes to him and he couldn't stop laughing.

Why do you think he was dizzy as he went out of the classroom? The reason trent was feeling dizzy because when he was walking out of the classroom he slipped on someone’s jacket because it was lying on the floor.

What were the differences between Huia and Trent’s bags and Jason’s? Is that jason bag was better than Huia and Trent one because Huia and Trent bag was plastic bag and when they saw Jason bag it was with Sandwich. What do you think about the reason for the differences? Is that there bags are different two with plastic bag and one thats with a new bag which is jason one that has a new bag and Huia and Trent has plastic bags.

What did Trent expect to happen when he went to the principal’s office? He expect that miss Anderson will give him a warning and let him back in class and he will never muck around ever again.

How do you think Trent felt when he found out the real reason for going to the principal’s office? When trent went to the principal’s office he knew the real reason because the principal wanted to tell him that he has to go to a maths competition and compete the whole school.

How do you think Trent felt at the end of the story, why? He felt happy because when he walked to his bag and took it off the hook it was heavy and when he looked inside it was jason sandwiches and he halved it with Huia and Trent was really happy after all.

Have you ever been really hungry? I will always feel hungry because I will always eat my lunch and morning tea in the morning. How did it make you feel? It will make me feel sad because people is eating there lunch and I will be just running around feeling hungry.

2013 Reflection.

Mr Somerville taught me a whole lot of things like making my story more intersting and read it out loud so I can hear my mistake then I can fix it. The thing that I have learn't all by myself is to encourage people when they feel nervous and scared about things they haven't tried before.

My friends taught me to learn from my mistake because everytime I do a mistake it teachers me not to do it again. I have helped other kids to take care of their netbooks like me and to be cybersmart.

Want for Christmas.

The ugly duckling.

It was a nice summer day at Denmark for the most of the days. The country was really ugly but it was beautiful now that the wheat was yellow and the oats were green and the hay was dry and delicious to roll in.

The lady duckling was really proud that she was laying baby eggs, and she laughed at the other mothers. The lady duckling was scared because her eggs wasn’t hatching at all so she was waiting for hours and hours but it still didn’t hatch so she decided to go and teach the other duckling how to swim. When she came back it still didn’t hatch so she went and had a bath.

She keeps on looking at least hundred and fifty times, because the baby  duckling wasn’t hatching at all and she was really not happy because her friends is not going to talk to her at all. After a while the mother duckling heard a crack coming from the left side and then she decided to go and have a look, and then she saw the baby duckling coming out of the egg, After that she didn’t even want to go and see the baby duckling still if she knew that she had left the baby duckling inside the baby duckling would dies and her friends will not speak to her again.

All through the next day she sat on giving up even more morning bath for fear that a blast of cold might strike the big egg. In the evening she thought that she saw a tiny crack on the egg but it wasn’t it was just a really loud noise coming from the other side.
